Lawyers Laud Enugu as Cleanest, Safest City During NBA AGC Visit
Enugu, Nigeria — Lawyers attending the Nigerian Bar Association’s Annual General Conference (NBA AGC) have praised Enugu as one of Nigeria’s cleanest and safest cities, applauding its infrastructure, hospitality, and cultural attractions.
Delegates toured major tourist sites, including the Art Gallery, National Museum, Milliken Hill, and Ngwo Pine Forest. Many remarked that their impression of the South East had changed positively, citing Enugu’s organization and serene environment.
Stephen Medaiyedu of the FCT Bar hailed Governor Peter Mbah’s swift transformation of the city, noting:
“The infrastructure, transport, and security are fantastic.”
He also highlighted the remarkable effort in hosting the NBA AGC within four months of relocating it from Port Harcourt.
Other participants echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing Enugu’s safety, cultural richness, and well-maintained facilities. NBA representatives stated the city is now being considered for future conferences and events.
Tourism officials revealed that the state government has invested over ₦13 billion in infrastructure and cultural projects. These include new zipline attractions and enhanced tourist facilities, further positioning Enugu as a premier destination for visitors and event planners.
