President Tinubu Arrives Lagos, Set to Visit Imo for Project Commissioning
Lagos, Nigeria — President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Friday arrived in Lagos for a working visit, as Nigeria prepares for a low-key celebration of its 65th Independence Anniversary.
The President moved to Lagos after attending the coronation of His Imperial Majesty, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Engagements in Lagos
While in Lagos, President Tinubu is expected to:
- Hold meetings with private sector leaders
- Engage senior government officials
- Review preparations for Independence anniversary activities
Visit to Imo State
On Tuesday, September 30, Tinubu will travel to Imo State to commission key projects executed by Governor Hope Uzodimma.
Commissioning of National Theatre
As part of Independence celebrations, the President will also commission the remodelled National Theatre, which has been renamed the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and the Creative Arts.
This visit underscores the administration’s commitment to infrastructure renewal, cultural preservation, and economic development.
