Sokoto Government Donates ₦69.75m, Relief Materials to Victims of Bandit Attacks in Kware, Gwadabawa
The Sokoto State Government has reached out to victims of the recent bandit attacks in Kware and Gwadabawa Local Government Areas, providing financial support and relief materials to affected families.
Governor Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto (AAS), who led a condolence visit to the communities, described the attacks as painful and deeply inhumane, while urging citizens to remain steadfast in their faith and unity.
As part of immediate relief efforts, the government announced a donation of ₦69.75 million and 210 bags of rice. Each bereaved family will receive ₦2 million and 5 bags of rice, while injured victims will get ₦250,000 and 3 bags of rice.

The Governor also expressed concern over the activities of informants aiding bandits, warning that they pose an even greater threat than the attackers themselves. He called on community and religious leaders to intensify sensitization campaigns and urged citizens to expose such collaborators without hesitation.
Governor Aliyu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting security agencies with logistics and resources, stressing that collective vigilance and unity are vital to defeating banditry in Sokoto State.
“With Almighty Allah’s guidance and the cooperation of our people, we will restore lasting peace and protect every community,” he assured.
