Eze Ndigbo Ghana Felicitates President Mahama on Conferment of Prestigious Yoruba Title by Ooni of Ife
The Eze Ndigbo of Ghana, His Royal Majesty Eze Dr. Chukwudi Ihenetu, has warmly congratulated the President of Ghana, His Excellency Dramani Mahama, on his conferment with the revered traditional title Aare Atayeto Oodua of the Source by the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II.
The historic honour was bestowed by the revered Yoruba monarch in Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria—ancestral home of the Yoruba people and a spiritual fountainhead of African civilization. Interpreted in essence, the title Aare Atayeto Oodua signifies a visionary leader whose influence transcends borders, one who reorders the global space in service to humanity.
In a special congratulatory message, Eze Dr. Ihenetu described the conferment as a profound recognition of President Mahama’s statesmanship, leadership ideals, and enduring contributions to national development and global human advancement.
According to the Igbo traditional ruler, the honour reflects President Mahama’s commitment not only to the progress of Ghana but also to the broader cause of peace, unity, and shared prosperity across Africa and the international community.
