Akuluno United Brothers Association Anniversary: Celebrating 2 years of strong Brotherhood, unity, enterprise of Igboland

When accomplished men of enterprise, influence and shared heritage come together, the result can transcend social fellowship and become a platform for collective impact. This is the philosophy behind Akuluno United Brothers— a pan-Igbo socio-cultural elitist group promoting brotherhood, the spirit of oneness, Igbo heritage and development.
The Association brings together prominent industrialists, construction giants, policy- makers, oil and gas executives, real estate developers, logistics and distribution operators, hospitality practitioners and business tycoons, united by a shared commitment to community development, human capacity building and youth empowerment.
Beyond its rich membership and social identity, Akuluno United Brothers has become associated with initiatives designed to translate collective influence into tangible value for society. Its emphasis on capacity building, community support and empowering young people with opportunities for growth— reflects a philosophy that development should not remain at the level of conversations, but should touch lives and strengthen communities.

Akuluno United Brothers will on Saturday, September 26, 2026, celebrate its second anniversary and hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) with the launch of a new book titled; ” Akuluno : A Catalyst For The Development Of Igboland. “
The venue of the watershed event at The Monarch Event Center, Lekki Phase 2, Lagos-State , is expected to bring together distinguished members and guests for an evening celebrating enterprise, brotherhood, culture and a shared vision for development.
The occasion will be chaired by Prof. Obiora Okonkwo, Chairman of United Nigeria Airlines, while Chief Sir. Patrick Okonkwo will serve as the Chief Launcher. The event is being co-ordinated by Chief Francis Akealu, Chairman of the Planning Committee alongside his members.
Leading the Association is its Pioneer National President, High Chief Duru Mike Ejiogu (Onowu Anara), whose leadership remains central to the Association’s journey.
The launch of Akuluno: A Catalyst For The Development Of Igboland— further captures the spirit behind the organisation— a belief that the collective strength of accomplished people can be channelled towards human development, community advancement and the empowerment of the next generation.
For Akuluno United Brothers Association, the second anniversary is therefore, more than an occasion. It is a celebration of oneness, enterprise, heritage and responsibility, while reaffirming a commitment to initiatives that give practical meaning to the ideals of community development and human empowerment.
On September 26, Lagos will host an evening where brotherhood meets enterprise, heritage meets purpose, and a shared vision for the future of Igboland takes centre stage.
