Construction Act Advocate, Aderibigbe Receives UK Black Talent Awards 2026 Nomination
British-Nigerian lawyer and governance strategist, Abiola Aderibigbe, has been nominated for the UK Black Talent Awards 2026, recognising his growing contributions across infrastructure governance, institutional reform, international development, and public policy advocacy.
Aderibigbe has recently attracted increased attention for his advocacy surrounding a proposed Nigerian Construction Act aimed at improving construction safety standards, procurement integrity, investor confidence, and regulatory accountability within Nigeria’s built environment sector.
He currently serves as Chief Operating Officer, General Counsel and Board Secretary of PSJ UK (International Organisation for Peace Building and Social Justice UK), a UK-registered international non-governmental organisation engaged in peacebuilding, governance advocacy, humanitarian initiatives, and development-focused stakeholder engagement across Nigeria and Africa.
Within legal and professional circles, Aderibigbe is also recognised for his work across construction, engineering, infrastructure, and international commercial law, including his recognition among the Top 10 Exceptional Professionals in Law at the 2025 TIBA Awards.
Speaking on the nomination, Aderibigbe described the recognition as “deeply humbling,” noting that governance, institutional credibility, and long-term systems thinking remain central to Africa’s future development conversation.
The Black Talent Awards celebrates outstanding Black professionals, executives, entrepreneurs, creatives, and leaders making significant contributions across multiple sectors within the United Kingdom and internationally.
