NAF Wipes Out ISWAP, Bandits in Borno, Kwara, Katsina, Zamfara, and Kaduna
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has intensified its counterterrorism and counter-banditry operations across the country, launching a series of precision airstrikes that decimated Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists in Mallam Fatori and Shuwaram, Borno State. The strikes also destroyed bandits’ hideouts in Garin Dandi and Chigogo, Kwara State, as well as Zango Hill in Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State.
According to a statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the coordinated missions mark a decisive phase in ongoing joint operations under Operation HADIN KAI and Operation FANSAN YAMMA, targeting terrorist and criminal networks across Nigeria’s northern theatres.
The statement noted that the success of these precision strikes in Borno, Kwara, Katsina, and the wider northwestern corridor underscores the Nigerian Air Force’s renewed operational tempo under the directives of the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke.
Each mission, Ejodame emphasized, reaffirms NAF’s commitment to deploying intelligence-driven airpower with precision and purpose—delivering decisive blows to insurgents and criminal elements while safeguarding lives and property in pursuit of strengthened national security.
