The AOC also paid courtesy visits to the Government Houses of Cross River and Akwa Ibom States. At Government House, Calabar, he was received by the Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey, who commended the Armed Forces for their role in maintaining peace and pledged the state’s continued support. In Uyo, Governor Umo Eno lauded the NAF for securing lives and properties, especially along waterways, and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to closer collaboration with the military for citizens’ safety.

Reiterating his vision, Air Marshal Abubakar stressed:

“Respect for civil authorities and synergy with sister services are indispensable to the effective projection of airpower. Our responsibility goes beyond defending the skies; it is about working hand-in-hand with government and security stakeholders to safeguard the lives and properties of Nigerians.”

These visits underscore the CAS’s proactive approach to consolidating trust with civil authorities, enhancing joint operational effectiveness, and ensuring lasting peace across the South-South. They also reaffirm the Nigerian Air Force’s role as a key partner in national security, stability, and community development.
