Five Rescued in Mangoro Building Collapse

Lagos, Nigeria — Five construction workers have been rescued with varying degrees of injuries after a building collapse in the Mangoro area of Lagos.

The incident occurred at 5 Modupe Ola Street, Onipetesi Estate, Mangoro, where a bungalow was being converted into a two-storey building. At the time of the collapse, occupants remained on the ground floor of the structure.

The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that no lives were lost. The injured men are currently receiving treatment in hospital.

Authorities said emergency responders arrived promptly following a distress call and worked to ensure the safety of both workers and residents.

An investigation is expected to determine the cause of the partial collapse.
