The Federal Government has launched the revised Service Charter of the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) in Abuja, reaffirming its dedication to pension reforms and the welfare of Nigeria’s senior citizens.

Themed “Renewed Commitment to Service Excellence,” the Charter sets clear service standards, accountability measures, and performance metrics to ensure faster, more transparent, and people-centered services for pensioners.

Unveiling the document, the Minister of State for Finance, Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite, described the Charter as a “social contract” that prioritises pensioners’ welfare and public trust. She noted that the launch aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, underpinned by his approval of a bond programme exceeding ₦800 billion to clear outstanding pension liabilities.

Dr. Uzoka-Anite praised PTAD for its reforms, emphasising that the revised Charter strengthens quality commitments, accessibility, and stakeholder feedback. She assured that government remains committed to ensuring retirees are paid promptly and treated with dignity, building a pension system that is fair, reliable, and sustainable.
