Engr. Celestine Opurum Felicitates High Chief Johnbosco Ozigbu on Conferment as Ikenga Igboland

Imo State-born civil engineer and respected community leader, Engr. Sir Celestine Opurum, MBA, FCMI, KSJI (Ekwueme of Dim-N-Nume Isu), has extended warm felicitations to High Chief Johnbosco Chukwuma Ozigbu, Ph.D (Ogwuaga of Ogwuaga), on his conferment as Ikenga Igboland by the South East Council of Traditional Rulers.

In his congratulatory message made available to the media, Engr. Opurum—immediate past President-General of the United Isu Progressives Union Federated (UIPU), a pan-Igbo socio-cultural group—described Ozigbu as a rare philanthropist and road construction giant whose works have transformed numerous communities across Imo State.

According to him, High Chief Ozigbu’s philanthropic interventions, infrastructural investments, and urban renewal initiatives have opened up many rural communities, gradually transforming them into modern cities and improving the lives of countless residents.

“The conferment of the rare chieftaincy title of Ikenga Igboland on High Chief Johnbosco Ozigbu, Ph.D, is a reaffirmation of his uncommon qualities as a man of honour, dignity, and deep respect for the Igbo people’s cultural heritage, social anthropology, and language nuances,” Opurum stated.

He further praised the South East Council of Traditional Rulers for recognising Ozigbu’s enduring contributions to community development, noting that the title of Ikenga Igboland is symbolic of strength, vision, and excellence in service to society.
