Dr Hwande gifts cash donation to highest JAMB scorer in Benue

The Chief Medical Director of the Benue State University Teaching Hospital, Dr. Stephen Terungwa Hwande, has donated the sum of Two Hundred Thousand Naira (₦200,000) to Miss Naswem Joy Doose of SORA HEIGHTS School, Gboko, who emerged as Benue’s highest scorer and placed third nationally in the 2025 JAMB with 369 marks.

Presenting the gift, Dr. Hwande commended Miss Doose’s resilience and outstanding performance, noting she brought pride to her school, family, and the state. He urged students to prioritize academics, stressing that education can unlock global opportunities beyond imagination.

In a release signed by Acting Head, Public Relations and protocol Tsenzughul Moses F. mnipr, the CMD cited the inspiring example of three students from Yobe State who recently gained international recognition through their participation in the TeenEagle global competition held in London and said that, Miss Doose’s achievement placed her in similar promising light.

Miss Doose expressed gratitude to Dr. Hwande for his generosity and words of encouragement. She promised to sustain her academic excellence and make greater strides in the future.

She advised her fellow students to remain committed to their studies, avoid distractions, and work diligently toward their goals. According to her, success demands focus, discipline, and perseverance in all pursuits.

Miss Doose is the daughter of the Head of the Legal Unit, Barr. Dr. Stella Naswem, at Benue State University Teaching Hospital, Makurdi. Her success, according to family and friends, is a product of determination, hard work, and consistent parental support.
