Troops of the Operation HADIN KAI, operating under the Joint Task Force (North-East), have intensified efforts to dismantle Boko Haram’s logistics and support networks across Adamawa and Borno states.

In a coordinated operation with local vigilantes and hunters, troops of Sector 4 under the 28 Task Force Brigade on Thursday apprehended a 28-year-old suspected terrorist logistics supplier, Ismail Muhammed, in the Visik General Area of Hong Local Government Area, Adamawa State.

Recovered items from the suspect include one AK-47 magazine, several rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, military accoutrements, and assorted foodstuffs. He is currently in custody and undergoing further investigation.
In a statement issued by Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba, Media Information Officer, Headquarters Joint Task Force (North-East), troops in a separate operation in Madagali Local Government Area neutralised a terrorist commander identified as Abdullahi Mafa during an ambush along the Visik River line. An AK-47 rifle and a loaded magazine were recovered from the scene.

Acting on further intelligence, troops also arrested a 64-year-old suspected collaborator, Dauda Usman Gubula, at Madagali Motor Park. He is alleged to have supplied drones to insurgents, which were reportedly modified and weaponised for attacks against troops.

Items recovered from him include two aerial drones, drone accessories, and 20 solar power banks.
Meanwhile, in Sector 2, troops working in conjunction with local vigilantes and the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) repelled insurgent activity in Ngamdu, Borno State.

During the encounter, a suspected terrorist informant attempting to breach defensive positions was neutralised. Additional logistics materials were recovered.

Military authorities said the operations form part of sustained efforts to disrupt insurgent supply chains, restore stability, and safeguard communities across the North-East.

The Military High Command commended the troops for their resilience and sacrifices in the ongoing counter-insurgency campaign, urging them to maintain operational momentum in the fight against terrorism in the region.
