NAF Reaffirms Zero Tolerance for Misconduct, Corruption

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Mobility Command, Yenagoa, on Monday, 13 October 2025, held a lecture themed “Cross-Border Smuggling: A Threat to National Security and the Image of the Armed Forces.” Representing the Air Officer Commanding (AOC) Mobility Command, AVM Sunday Kelvin Aneke, Chief of Staff AVM Simon Peter reaffirmed the Chief of the Air Staff’s zero tolerance for misconduct and corruption.

AVM Jibrin Usman described smuggling as a national security threat that fuels organized crime and erodes sovereignty. He emphasized that corruption compromises border security and drains national revenue.

“Our uniforms symbolize honour, discipline, and loyalty — we must never allow greed or compromise to stain that image.” — AVM Jibrin Usman

Reiterating Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar’s message, AVM Peter reminded personnel that discipline and loyalty remain the foundation upon which the military profession is built. The event reaffirmed NAF’s commitment to professionalism, integrity, and national service.
