In a bid to strengthen the school system and promote administrative efficiency across Lagos State, Education District III organised a four-hour intensive training on General Administrative Practices for school principals within the district.

The training focused on Strengthening School Leadership, Enhancing Administrative Efficiency for improved learning, and the Lagos State Public Service Rules and Regulations. It addressed common mistakes made by school heads and provided strategies to avoid them to improve the overall effectiveness of school administration.

Participants were also reminded of the value of focusing on one task at a time, rather than multitasking, to ensure better productivity and stronger leadership outcomes.

One of the facilitators, Mr. Braimah Bashir, a retired Permanent Secretary of the Public Service Office, shared a personal story of growing up in Isale Eko and how the passion of a dedicated teacher, Mrs. Okunowo inspired him to become an educator. He encouraged principals to approach their roles with passion and commitment, just as great teachers do.
