Sanwo-Olu Commissions Library Complex at LASU

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has commissioned a state-of-the-art library complex named in his honour at the Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo.

Speaking at the ceremony, Governor Sanwo-Olu described the new facility as a hub for discovery, innovation, and inspiration, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to empowering young Lagosians through education.

“Today, I commissioned the Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu Library Complex at Lagos State University, Ojo,” the governor announced. “This new library is a space for discovery, innovation, and inspiration. It reflects our unwavering commitment to empower young Lagosians with the knowledge and tools to shape the future.”
Sanwo-Olu noted that the project holds a personal significance, embodying the values that have guided his public service and belief in the transformative power of education.

“This moment is deeply personal because it represents the very ideals that have shaped my journey — the belief that education is the bridge between potential and purpose, and that knowledge is the most enduring legacy any generation can bequeath to the next,” he said.

The governor commended the LASU community for its dedication to learning and excellence, expressing optimism that the new library would further enhance academic research and innovation within the institution.

“I’m proud of the LASU community for their dedication to learning and excellence. Together, we’re building a Lagos where every mind can thrive,” he concluded.
