Samples of Ghanian Helicopter crash victims to be flown to South Africa for DNA forensic test
Samples of the remains of all passengers aboard the ill-fated Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) Z-9 helicopter are set to be flown to South Africa for advanced forensic analysis.
This move forms part of ongoing efforts to accurately identify the victims and uncover the exact circumstances that led to the tragic crash.
According to authorities, the severity of the impact left most of the remains unrecognizable, making forensic testing a critical step in the investigation.
The GAF Z-9 helicopter, which went down in a remote area on Wednesday, was transporting several high-ranking officials — including two cabinet ministers — on official duty when the disaster struck.
As the nation grapples with this heartbreaking loss, tributes continue to pour in for the fallen public servants who died in the line of service. Ghana remains united in mourning, holding on to hope for answers and closure.
