Nasarawa State Waste Management and Sanitation visits LAWMA

…Strengthens relationship

The Nasarawa State Waste Management and Sanitation Authority (NASWAMSA), has paid a two-day assessment visit to the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), Ijora-Olopa, as part of efforts to strengthen partnerships, foster mutual understanding, and learn strategic approaches, that have made Lagos a cleaner and healthier city.

Speaking during the visit, the Director General of NASWAMSA, Hon. Isa Mohammed Bello, noted that their mission was to build lasting collaboration with LAWMA, explore successful waste management models, and tap into its Waste-to-Wealth initiatives.

Welcoming the delegation, LAWMA’s Managing Director, Dr. Muyiwa Gbadegesin, stressed the importance of such engagements, noting that “there is never a gathering like this without something new being learnt.” He reiterated that LAWMA was committed to taking its operations far beyond where it started, continuously innovating to improve waste management practices.

The visiting team was taken through LAWMA’s operational processes, strategies, and key initiatives.

The NASWAMSA delegation was led by Hon. Isa Mohammed Bello (Director General), and had on the team Christopher Abri (Secretary); Ishaq Abubakar Ibrahim (Director of Waste Management), and Rumasau Ibrahim (Scientific Officer).

The management staff members of LAWMA were also in attendance to welcome and interact with the visitors.
