… As Ogunlende Commissioner for Youths, Social Development hails the Rugby icon
Lagos Commissioner for Youths and Social Development, Mobolaji Ogunlende, has described the Nigeria-born Rugby player, Maro Iteje, as a source of inspiration to the youths.
The Commissioner made the coment while joining Lagos State governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu to wellcome the England and Ireland Rugby captain to Lagos.
In his words, Ogunlende said: “I had the honour of joining Mr. Governor in welcoming Maro Itoje, the trailblazing English rugby player and first-ever black captain of the British & Irish Lions, on a courtesy visit.
“Beyond his remarkable sporting achievements, Maro’s passion for empowering young people is truly admirable.
“Our conversation underscored the transformative power of sports in building character, instilling discipline, and creating opportunities for the next generation.”he said.
