LASG committee on Tourism inspects monument projects
The Lagos State House of Assembly Committee on Tourism, Arts and Culture, led by its Chairman, Hon. Solomon Bonu, alongside the Chairman, House Committee on Works, Hon. Desmond Elliot, recently embarked on an inspection tour of ongoing monument projects under the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture.
They were accompanied by the Director, Monuments Management Department, Mr. Ibrahim Ladejobi; Director, Facility Management, Mr. Abimbola Ogunshote; Deputy Director, Monuments Management, Mrs. Folashade Jide-Oyesola; as well as members of the Ministry’s technical and media units.
The inspection covered two key projects, the Head Busts of Past Governors and the Incumbent Governor at the State House, and the reconstruction of the Lagos Theatre, Oregun.
The exercise provided valuable insights and recommendations aimed at ensuring timely completion and high-quality delivery of these landmark tourism and cultural projects in Lagos State.
