Gov. Okpebholo Boosts Security in Edo with Over 300 Motorcycles
Benin City, Edo State — Governor Monday Okpebholo has strengthened security efforts in Edo State with the donation of more than 300 motorcycles to security agencies.
The motorbikes, distributed across the state’s three senatorial districts, are expected to improve the mobility of security operatives, particularly in remote and forested areas where criminal activities are often concealed.
According to officials, the initiative is part of the Governor’s broader strategy to enhance law enforcement, improve rapid response, and ensure the safety of residents across Edo State.
The motorcycles will enable security agencies to “access difficult terrains and tackle insecurity more effectively,” a government statement noted.
The move has been welcomed by community stakeholders, who view it as a proactive step in curbing crime and ensuring peace in the state.
