First Lady, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu visit flood victims in Niger

As part of efforts to reach out to victims of natural disasters across the country.Renewed Hope Initiative, wife of the president, Senator Oluremi Tinubu on Tuesday visited Niger State, where she met persons affected by the recent flood, fire outbreak, boat accident, and banditry attacks.

She also extended heartfelt condolences to Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago and the people of the state.
Addressing the victims, she said: “In response to these tragedies, the Renewed Hope Initiative is donating ₦1 Billion, 2,000 bags of rice, clothing, and shoes to support displaced families especially in Mokwa, where over 159 lives were lost and thousands affected.

“We also launched the RHI/Tony Elumelu Foundation Women Empowerment Programme. Through this initiative, 500 women in Niger and 18,500 nationwide will receive ₦50,000 grants each to support their small businesses. These are grants, not loans—because when you empower a woman, you uplift a nation.

I also paid respects to former Heads of State, General Ibrahim Babangida and General Abdulsalami Abubakar, and conveyed the warm regards of my husband, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
