First Lady Oluremi Tinubu Commissions Digital Learning Centres in 10 States
The First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on Thursday virtually commissioned Digital Learning Centres across ten states of the federation, reaffirming her commitment to advancing digital inclusion and youth empowerment through technology.
Speaking from the State House, Abuja, during the virtual commissioning and handover ceremony, Senator Tinubu described the initiative as “another step in empowering Nigerians technologically.”
The centres, established in partnership with the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), are located in Abia, Delta, Edo, Kano, Katsina, Lagos, Nasarawa, Ondo, Yobe, and Zamfara States.
In her keynote address, the First Lady emphasized that the project embodies “our unwavering commitment at the Renewed Hope Initiative to empower young Nigerians through technology and digital education.”
She noted that digital literacy remains essential for national growth and inclusive development, underscoring the importance of equipping the next generation with the skills required to thrive in an increasingly digital world.
