Members of the State Working Committee (SWC) of the Ogun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party have expressed heartfelt appreciation to party leaders, supporters, and members of the Ado-Odo/Ota political class who stood by the State Chairman, Dr. (Hon)Abayomi Tella, during the burial rites of his wife, Chief (Mrs.) Alice Ebebe Tella.
Mrs. Tella was laid to rest recently in Agbara, Ogun State.

In a statement issued by the Ogun State PDP Publicity Secretary, Otunba Arc. Kayode Adebayo, the party described the massive turnout at the Christian wake-keep and final burial ceremony as a strong demonstration of unity, solidarity, and shared values within the party family.

“Your presence at his residence in Agbara for the Christian wake-keep and final burial ceremony was a profound demonstration of the unity and solidarity that define our shared love and values. In honouring the memory of our late sister and mother, you honoured the values of compassion and togetherness that bind us as one family,” the statement read.

The party particularly appreciated its foremost leader, Oladipupo Olatunde Adebutu, popularly known as LADO, and his wife, Yeye Adenike Adebutu, for their physical presence and support during the period of mourning.

According to the statement, “Your show of love and support speaks volumes about your commitment to the well-being of every member of the PDP family. It gave strength to the bereaved children and the entire family, reminding all of us that leadership is best expressed in times of both celebration and sorrow.”

The SWC also acknowledged the presence of chieftains and faithful from other political parties who travelled from across Ogun State and beyond to identify with the Tella family during the solemn occasion.
The statement further appreciated individuals who offered prayers, encouragement, visits, phone calls, messages, and material support, noting that their gestures contributed immensely to the successful and peaceful conduct of the burial.

“On behalf of the entire Ogun PDP family, we say thank you all, most especially the Gospel Faith Mission (GOFAMINT) where the deceased is a prominent church member.
May the Almighty reward your kindness and continue to uphold you and your families.

We remain committed to fostering this same spirit of unity and mutual support as we move forward together as one indivisible party,” the statement added.
The party prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of the deceased, saying, “May the soul of Mrs. Tella rest in perfect peace. Amen.”
