FRSC Corps Marshal Condemns Clash Between Officers and Driver
…Orders Immediate Investigation
The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed, has condemned the altercation between some FRSC officers and a driver along Abudu, Edo State, which was captured in a viral video circulating on social media on Saturday, October 25, 2025.
In a statement signed by the Assistant Corps Marshal and Corps Public Education Officer, Olusegun Ogungbemide, mni, FISPON, anipr, the FRSC Chief expressed deep concern over the incident and ordered an immediate investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the confrontation.
The statement reaffirmed that the FRSC does not condone any form of unprofessional conduct or behaviour that undermines the integrity and discipline for which the Corps is reputed. Mohammed assured members of the public that appropriate disciplinary measures would be taken against any officer found culpable, in accordance with the Corps’ operational guidelines and public service rules.
He further appealed to motorists to remain calm and continue to cooperate with FRSC personnel who are dedicated to ensuring safer roads and protecting lives across the country.
While reiterating the Corps’ commitment to professionalism and public safety, the Corps Marshal also cautioned against any form of assault or violence against FRSC operatives in the course of duty, emphasizing that such actions would not be tolerated.
