Lagos to Host 2025 Best of Nollywood Awards
Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has announced that Lagos will host the 2025 edition of the prestigious Best of Nollywood (BON) Awards.
In a statement, Governor Sanwo-Olu described the event as a golden opportunity to highlight Lagos’ role as the heartbeat of Nigeria’s creative industry.
“This is an opportunity to show our deep commitment to the creative industry in Lagos and across Nigeria. Nollywood is a vital part of our culture, our economy, and our global identity.
We remain committed to supporting the creative industry, and we are ready to make this year’s BON Awards truly special,” he said.
The governor emphasized that the Nollywood industry remains central to Lagos’ cultural identity and economic growth, assuring stakeholders that the state will continue to provide a platform for creativity to thrive.
The Best of Nollywood Awards, established to recognize excellence in filmmaking, has become one of the most anticipated events in Nigeria’s entertainment calendar. Its 2025 edition in Lagos is expected to attract top actors, filmmakers, and industry leaders from across the continent.
