Deputy British High Commissioner Gill Lever Visits Enugu, Tours Smart Green Schools and Government Technical College

The Deputy British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Her Excellency Gill Lever, has paid a working visit to Enugu State, where she was warmly received at the Government House.

As part of her visit, Ms. Lever toured the Smart Green Schools and the Government Technical College (GTC), Enugu—two flagship projects that showcase the state government’s commitment to transforming education, promoting sustainability, and equipping students with future-driven skills.

Speaking during the visit, the Governor expressed gratitude to Ms. Lever for her keen interest in Enugu’s education sector and her promise to return when the Smart Green Schools resume.

“This gesture reinforces our shared vision of building an educational system that truly empowers future generations,” the Governor said.

He further stressed that education remains at the heart of Enugu’s transformation agenda, adding that with the support of partners such as the British Government, the state is well on its way to raising a generation prepared to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
