Ogunlende partner Lagos residents to end street begging

The Commissioner for Youths and Social Development Mobolaji Ogunlende on Friday had a productive meeting with the Lekki Residents Association, welcoming a delegation from the ministry alongside Dr. Adetayo John Fisher, Founder of Change from Street Life Initiative, and her team.

The meeting was a follow-up on the Ministry’s efforts to address street begging and drug abuse in the community, with representatives from LERA in full attendance. We successfully mapped out a way forward to tackle this challenge and are looking forward to replicating this initiative across other residential areas in Lagos facing similar issues.
