LAWMA participates in the 2025 World Habitat Day
The Lagos Waste Management Authority, (LAWMA), joined other ministries and agencies at the year 2025 World Habitat Day, organised by the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban development.
The event, held at the Lagos Television Blue Roof, centered on the theme, “Urban Crisis Response: Flooding in Focus”.
While emphasising the state government’s continued efforts towards making the city resilient, inclusive, and sustainable for all residents, the guest speaker, Permanent Secretary, Office of Drainage Services and Water Resources , Engr. Mahmood Olakunle Adegbite, enjoined individuals, civil societies, and citizens to be environmentally responsible, to prevent flooding and compliment Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s efforts in tackling urban crisis.
The event had in attendance, representative of the Lagos State Governor, Secretary to the Lagos State Government, Barrister Abimbola Salau Hundeyin, Permanent Secretaries, Directors, Managing Director/CEO of LAWMA, Dr. Muyiwa Gbadegesin, represented by the Executive Director, Mr. Kunle Adebiyi, among others.
