LASG trains staff on Artificial Intelligence
In its continuous effort to enhance the capacity of the state workforce, the Ministry of Establishments and Training has organised a two-day training programme for officers in the state public service.
The training, with the topic “Understanding Artificial Intelligence (AI)”, was designed to equip participants with knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and its practical applications in modern public service procedures.
While declaring the programme open, the Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Olubusola Abidakun, who was represented by the Director of Training, Mrs. Modupe Animashaun, noted that the training demonstrates the Ministry’s commitment to building a competent and skilled workforce capable of leveraging technologies for efficient service delivery.
Abidakun stated that the programme would broaden participants’ understanding of AI and prepare them to adapt effectively to digital transformation in the public service. She added that the goal of the training was not just for staff to work smarter and faster but also to make them relevant in the work environment.
She emphasised that Artificial Intelligence has become a driving force for efficiency hence the need for participants to be conversant with its concepts and applications.
The programme, which will end tomorrow, has 100 participants, drawn from different Ministries, Departments and Agencies, in attendance.
