IGP Appoints CSP Benjamin Hundeyin as New Force PRO

The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, NPM, Ph.D., has approved the appointment of CSP Benjamin Hundeyin as the new Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO) of the Nigeria Police Force.

CSP Hundeyin, a seasoned communicator and image maker, holds a BA in English Language from Lagos State University and an MSc in Legal Criminology and Security Psychology from the University of Ibadan. He has also obtained a Certificate in Civil-Military Coordination from the Martin Luther Agwai International Leadership and Peacekeeping Training Centre, Jaji.

A member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), the International Public Relations Association (IPRA), and the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM), Hundeyin brings strong expertise in communication, public engagement, and security psychology.

He previously served as Police PRO at Zone 2 Command Headquarters, Onikan, Lagos, was part of the Nigerian contingent to the UN Peacekeeping Mission in Darfur (UNAMID) in 2020, and worked as an Administration Officer at the Force Public Relations Department in Abuja. Until his latest appointment, he was the Police Public Relations Officer for Lagos State Command, where he earned recognition for his proactive communication style.

The IGP urged Hundeyin to deploy his experience to strengthen police-public trust, enhance transparency, and bolster community relations nationwide.
