Hon. Ajose Peter Kumayon moves to Avert Looming Security Threat in Mowo, Olorunda LCDA
In a bold demonstration of leadership and responsiveness, the Chairman-elect of Olorunda LCDA, Hon. Ajose Peter Kumayon (APK) once again proved that he is a man of action and results.
On Frday, 18th July 2025, Hon. APK led a high-powered delegation of traditional leaders, community heads, and stakeholders from Olorunda LCDA to the Office of the Deputy Governor of Lagos State and later to the office of the Lagos State Commissioner of police.
The urgent visit was in response to rising tensions and possible insecurity in Mowo Community , a result of the disturbing activities of land grabbers threatening the peace, safety, and rightful ownership of land by indigenes and residents alike.
Joining Hon. APK on this critical intervention was Hon. Bonu Solomon Saanu, House of Assembly Member (Badagry constituency 1) Hon. Setonji David, House of Assembly Member (Badagry constituency 2) Together, they presented the security concerns to the appropriate authorities with urgency and clarity.
Hon. Ajose Peter Kumayon, who has always emphasized grassroots protection, community development, and lawful order, described the situation as “an unacceptable violation of the rights and dignity of our people” and vowed that “under no circumstance will criminality be allowed to thrive in Olorunda LCDA.
“The deputy governor’s office has since assured immediate government attention and intervention to forestall any further breakdown of law and order.This move underscores APK’s proactive governance style even before formally assuming office.
This is a clear sign of what the people of Olorunda LCDA can expect under his leadership: decisiveness, collaboration, and unflinching dedication to protecting the interests of the people.
