Gov Otti Rewards 9 Outstanding Abia NYSC Members with Automatic Employment
Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has announced automatic employment in the state civil service for nine exceptional NYSC members of Abia origin who earned the prestigious Presidential NYSC Honour Award for their exemplary service across Nigeria.
In a statement released by his media team, Governor Otti praised the honourees for bringing pride to the state through dedication, creativity, and impactful service during their one-year national assignment.

The beneficiaries are:
- Nwogu Chinonso
- Anyanwụ Promise
- Ezieme Francis Uba
- Emmanuel Ogbenyealu Ezinne
- Abia Chinwendu Grace
- Nwafike Esther Chiemela
- Dr. Ugwa Obinna Mark
- Eke Lawrence Miracle
- James Raphael Chukwuebuka
According to the NYSC Abia State Coordinator, Barrister Gladys Adama, the nine distinguished themselves in their primary assignments across different parts of the country, setting Abia apart as the state with the highest number of awardees among over a hundred honoured nationwide.
Governor Otti expressed gratitude to the NYSC for its role in nation-building and to the State Coordinator for identifying and supporting the honourees.
“May your journey in public service be marked by the same distinction that brought you national honour,” the Governor said, urging the awardees to sustain their passion for excellence as they transition into public service.
This gesture, analysts note, not only rewards merit but also underscores Governor Otti’s commitment to youth empowerment, talent recognition, and building a future-ready Abia workforce.
