Eze Ndigbo Ghana Celebrates Ooni of Ife at 51
…Describes Him as a Monarch with a Golden Heart
The Eze Ndigbo of Ghana, His Royal Majesty Eze Dr. Chukwudi Ihenetu, has joined other world leaders and well-wishers to celebrate the 51st birthday of the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II.
In a heartfelt statement personally signed by Eze Ihenetu from his royal palace — Obigbo, Obiukwu, Obi Eziokwu — in Ghana, and released through his Director of Media Strategy and Communications, Njoku Macdonald Obinna, the revered monarch extolled the virtues of the Ooni, describing him as a “monarch with a heart of gold.”
Eze Ihenetu praised Oba Ogunwusi as a torchbearer in Nigeria’s traditional institution — a leader of exceptional wisdom who had distinguished himself in business and leadership even before ascending the throne of his forefathers.
“The Ooni of Ife is more than a revered monarch; he is a compassionate leader whose humanitarian spirit has endeared him to both his subjects and admirers across the globe,” Eze Ihenetu stated.
“My dearest King, friend, and brother, on this monumental occasion of your 51st birthday, I celebrate not only your life but also your unwavering patriotism, wise counsel, and lifelong commitment to service and humanity.
You are a selfless contributor to peace, unity, and nation-building. Your tireless dedication to uplifting those around you continues to inspire all who are blessed to witness your reign.
Eze Ihenetu also commended the Ooni’s visionary leadership, highlighting the establishment of Ojaja University as a testament to his commitment to education and youth empowerment.
“Through groundbreaking projects like Ojaja University, you have made an indelible mark — not only in your kingdom, state of origin, and Nigeria — but across the world,” he noted.
Concluding his message, Eze Ihenetu offered blessings on behalf of his family and the Igbo community in Ghana:
“On behalf of my dear wife, HRM Ugoeze Liberty Ihenetu, my children, and the entire Igbo and Nigerian community in Ghana, I celebrate you — my King, my friend, and my brother. You are an extraordinary leader, a devoted husband, and a divine blessing to the world. May this new chapter of your life bring you even more wisdom, accomplishments, joy, and love.”
