Advancing Inclusive Education for Arts, AIEAan NGO based in Lagos on Monday 21st of July visited Herbert Macaulay and Talim-ul Primary Schools, Yaba, Lagos.
One of the Co-founders of the organization Dang Dang Ying, in her address, disclosed that she was happy to extend charity to pupils of the 2 schools. In her words :”It is with great joy and a deep sense of purpose that I stand before you today on behalf of the Advancing Inclusive Education for Arts AIEA”We are here not just to donate notebooks but to sow seeds — seeds of learning, of curiosity, and of hope.
These notebooks may seem like simple tools, but within their blank pages lies the power to shape dreams, sharpen minds, and build a better future.”At AIEA, we believe that education is the most effective weapon for empowerment. It is the bridge that connects a child’s potential to their possibilities.
And every child, regardless of their background, deserves access to that bridge.”Our decision to partner with Herbert Macaulay Primary School and Talim-ul Primary School is intentional. This was made possible by the hard-working officials of the Department of Education Yaba LCDA.
To this, we say thank you. These schools represent the heartbeat of our communities, nurturing tomorrow’s leaders, thinkers, and innovators. So, by supporting them, we are investing in the future of Yaba, Lagos, Nigeria — and indeed, Africa.
“To the pupils here today: let your imagination run wild, let your curiosity guide you, and let your education be your superpower. And to the teachers and administrators: thank you for the incredible work you do, day in and day out, to shape young minds.
This is just one step in our journey. AIEA remains committed to supporting education at all levels, and we look forward to expanding our reach and impact across Nigeria.”she concludes. In the words of Chilaka Patrick, the Chief Project Advocacy and Communication at AIEA,
We are poised to ensure that public schools in need of educational intervention in our host community in Lagos, are given the much needed support to ensure an enabling learning environment is assured for pupils since government cannot do it all alone.
Chilaka further said AIEA will be looking at more ways to make positive impacts in the lives of pupils across the country in the coming months.
