Achievers University Expels 15 Female Students Over Sex Video Scandal

Achievers University, Owo, Ondo State, has expelled no fewer than 15 female students over their alleged involvement in sex video offences, in what the institution describes as a firm stance against indiscipline.
The disclosure was made by the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, Prof. Bode Ayorinde, during the university’s matriculation ceremony on Friday, where 936 newly admitted students were formally inducted.

Addressing parents, students, and other stakeholders, Prof. Ayorinde warned that the university would not tolerate any conduct capable of tarnishing its reputation, stressing that disciplinary measures would be applied without exception.
According to him, the affected students were expelled for allegedly recording and circulating nude and sexually explicit videos on social media while identifying themselves as students of Achievers University.

“You record yourself naked, post it online, and attach Achievers University to it — you are gone,” Ayorinde declared, urging students to desist from abusing social media and instead focus on their academic and personal development.
He further revealed that even students close to graduation are not exempt from disciplinary action. As an example, he recounted the dismissal of a final-year student who allegedly made statements interpreted as inviting Boko Haram to the university.

The Pro-Chancellor disclosed that the institution refunded the student’s ₦2.3 million tuition fees before expelling him.
Ayorinde emphasized that the university’s zero-tolerance policy on misconduct is aimed at protecting its values, academic integrity, and public image, while grooming students to become responsible citizens.
