Gov Uzodimma Visits Niger State, Commiserates with Mokwa Flood Victims

Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, alongside members of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, has paid a condolence visit to the Governor of Niger State, His Excellency Mohammed Umaru Bago, to commiserate with him and the people of the state over the recent tragedies — notably the devastating Mokwa flood and the tanker explosions that claimed several lives and caused widespread destruction.

The delegation was warmly received by the Chairman of the Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, His Royal Highness Etsu Nupe, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, and other members of the Traditional Council, whose presence underscored the resilience and unity of the people of Niger State in the face of adversity.

During the visit, Governor Uzodimma conveyed heartfelt condolences on behalf of the Progressive Governors, praying for divine comfort for the bereaved families. He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his swift response to the disaster’s aftermath and reaffirmed the Forum’s solidarity with the government and people of Niger State, assuring them of continued support in their recovery efforts.
