Ogun PDP Celebrates Judicial Victory

… As Hon Abayomi Tella led State Executives of the party won at the Appeal Court in Ibadan.

The Ogun state Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) expressed immense gratitude by the judgment of the Appeal Court sitting in Ibadan delivered earlier on Tuesday in ibadan, which, not only unequivocally affirmed Hon Abayomi Tella as the authentic chairman of our great party but as well buried the unnecessarily long legal dispute by some sponsored elements in the party, whose conscience were later found to be transactional and harmful.

Ogun State PDP says the resounding victory is a testament to the party’s unwavering commitment to democracy and the rule of law, it also reflects that our judiciary which serves as the last hope of the common people is upright in discharging their duties of entrenching democratic rules and party politics.

“The judgement rekindles our hope, serves as beacon of trust for our members and the general public. It, once again, confirms that every political party has the right to conduct its internal affairs in line with its rules and that conduct of party congresses remain an internal affair of the party.

“While we savour the judicial victory of truth over falsehood, we, however, hold that it is not a triumph for any individual but the party as a whole. It is clearly no victor, no vanquished. The general public is encouraged to note that the victory underlines that our party’s strength lies in unity, adherence to democratic principles and as a party, we shall continue to explore every opportunity, alloowed in law, to make and build a bigger and better political family.

“As such, the party hold no grudge against anyone, either the complainants or their sponsors. We are excited to extend an olive branch to all disgruntled members and their co travellers. We urge all of them to stop chasing shadows but to re-integrate themselves to the party structure.

“Again, we use this opportunity to salute our loyal members, the public, and every citizen who had hitherto express genuine concerns about the sinister plans to render the capacity of the party redundant.
“As a responsible democratic political family, we are open to genuine reconciliation and rehabilitation,”he concludes.
