Badagry West LCDA Chairman, Ghenu finished strong, commissions land mark projects

The Chairman of Badagry West Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Mr. Gbenu Henugbe Joseph, has commissioned several completed infrastructure projects on Thursday, 24th July 2025, as part of events marking the end of his administration.

In a statement released on Tuesday by the Senior Special Assistant on Information, Tourism, and Special Works, Mr. Solomon Zosu, the day’s activities kicked off with a tour of selected project sites from 10:00 am, before the commissioning and valedictory ceremony at the Council Secretariat, Kankon.

The projects commissioned include a newly built Primary Health Centre in Bapo, a renovated classroom block at Sito Gbethrome Secondary School along the Seme-Badagry Expressway, and Boglo Way, which has been equipped with solar-powered streetlights.

Also unveiled were the newly developed Apa Community Cemetery, designed with dedicated sections for Christian, Muslim, and traditional royal burials, as well as a new Administrative Office Complex and Customary Court, both located in Kankon.

Describing the event as “a public display of responsibility, vision, and tangible achievements,” Zosu stated that the ceremony underscore the administration’s commitment to community development and quality service delivery.
