Alajobi Foundation, Kumayon Fans Club Donate 400 School Bags, Water Bottles to Pupils in Olorunda LCDA
The Alajobi Community Development Foundation, in partnership with the Kumayon Fans Club, has distributed 400 school bags and 400 water bottles to pupils in eight primary schools across Olorunda Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Lagos State.
The outreach, tagged “Welcome Back to School,” was held at L.A. Primary School, Ibereko, Badagry, and also marked the first anniversary of the Alajobi Foundation.
Executive Chairman of Olorunda LCDA, Hon. Ajose Peter Kumayon, commended the two organisations for their commitment to grassroots educational development. He stressed that every child in Olorunda deserves access to quality education, pledging continued government support.
“Beyond our recent distribution of free GCE forms to indigent students, we will keep supporting initiatives that uplift and develop education in Olorunda,” Kumayon said.
President of the Alajobi Foundation, Mr. Alajobi Ahmed, described the programme as a way to complement the Chairman’s strides in education, noting that the initiative reflects community-driven development. He pledged more interventions in the future.
On his part, President of Kumayon Fans Club, Mr. Kudoro Abdulhakeem, said the gesture was designed to encourage pupils to embrace education while complementing government’s grassroots efforts.
The organisers appreciated the support of Olorunda LCDA, WAMUFAT International, and volunteers who contributed to the success of the event.
