Ebuka Onunkwo joins Anambra South communities for Iriji festivals
As various communities continue to hold their traditional rites of Iri Ji, the candidate of the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), has been visiting different communities in the past few days to felicitate with them.
The story has been the same in every community visited by Chief Ebuka Onunkwo, as the people continue to openly affirm their resolve to change the narrative of representation in Anambra South by voting for the NDC senatorial candidate.
Chief Onunkwo, who is aspiring to represent Anambra South in the Red Chamber under the platform of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), was warmly received in the communities he visited.
On arrival in Okija this afternoon, the traditional ruler of the community, Igwe Emeka Okezie, received Chief Onunkwo and his campaign team at the palace. The monarch commended the visit and prayed for peace and progress in the community and the senatorial district.
The entourage also proceeded to Ezinifite, where Chief Onunkwo was given a rousing welcome by the people. The traditional ruler of Ezinifite, HRH Igwe Bob Orji (Ezeugo II), received him and prayed for the success of his senatorial aspiration.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Onunkwo restated his commitment to what he described as his “Godly covenant of impact” through effective representation at the National Assembly, if elected.
He said the senatorial seat would provide him the avenue to deepen service delivery, youth empowerment, and infrastructure development for Anambra South.
As part of his ongoing visits to various communities for Iri Ji celebrations, Chief Onunkwo is expected to visit more towns in the coming days to share in the joy of the harvest season with his people.
