President Tinubu Celebrates Vice President Kashim Shettima at 59

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has joined other world leaders, political allies, and Nigerians across the globe in celebrating Vice President Kashim Shettima as he marks his 59th birthday.

In a heartfelt message on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, President Tinubu described Shettima as a “brother, partner, and dependable deputy” whose leadership qualities and loyalty have been instrumental to the success of the current administration.

“Today presents me with another unique opportunity to celebrate you, my brother, partner, and Vice President, as you mark another birthday,” Tinubu wrote.

The President praised Shettima’s record of service as a two-term Governor of Borno State and later as Senator representing Borno Central, noting that he exemplified true leadership in the face of immense challenges.

Tinubu emphasized that Shettima’s commitment to democracy, governance, and economic reforms continues to strengthen the government’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which focuses on food security, global trade partnerships, education, healthcare, and job creation.
