Lagos State Health District III has kicked off its Integrated Medical Outreach Programme in Ibeju Lekki LGA, offering residents free healthcare services including general health check-ups, blood pressure and sugar level screening, dental care, eye examinations with free prescription glasses, family planning, child immunisations, HIV, malaria and hepatitis testing, distribution of free medications, and breastfeeding education in line with World Breastfeeding Week.

Speaking at the launch, Permanent Secretary Dr. Monsurat Adeleke described the initiative as a direct fulfilment of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s vision for a healthier Lagos under the THEMES Plus Agenda. She assured that the outreach will soon extend to Epe, Eti-Osa, and surrounding communities, urging residents to embrace preventive healthcare and not ignore symptoms such as persistent headaches or blurry vision.

Dr. Adeleke commended Governor Sanwo-Olu for funding the programme, noting that it demonstrates genuine care and government-community collaboration. She also called on traditional rulers, religious leaders, and community stakeholders to mobilise residents and encourage follow-up care.

Also present was the Vice Chairman of Ibeju Lekki LGA, Hon. Isiaka Yusuf Olatunji, who praised the state government for bringing essential healthcare closer to the grassroots, stressing that the outreach addresses challenges such as distance, cost, and time in accessing quality care.

The event drew a large turnout, with residents expressing gratitude for the opportunity to receive free, quality medical services in their community.
